Parth Joshi

Program Assistant, International & Area Studies

M.A. Humanities, University of Chicago, Concentrations in Classics, Comparative Literature, and Linguistics

As Program Assistant, Parth manages the administration of the International and Area Studies programs, including the Asian Studies and Latin American & Caribbean Studies programs. Parth works closely with a whole host of Weinberg faculty, performing a wide array of tasks ranging from answering student inquiries to designing program materials and coordinating events. 

Prior to joining Northwestern, Parth worked with organizations such as GlobeMed, an NGO that partners university students with grassroots health organizations all over the world, striving for global health equity, and Upward Bound, a federally funded program that serves underprivileged high school students in key schools around the country. He has also worked with Classical Philology, an academic journal dedicated to the study of the ancient world, and has conducted research abroad in Greece with the American School of Classical Studies in Athens (ASCSA). Parth's academic research has focused on the language and literature of the Indo-European world, especially the comparative realm shared by ancient Greek and ancient Indian epic.
